Sorry to say that we have another obituary to report.  We will miss Buddy Hayes.  Please keep his family in your prayers.

Charles Alton "Buddy" Hayes

August 19, 1942 - April 10, 2004

Mena, AR - Buddy Hayes, 62, went to be with the Lord on April 10, 2004.  Mr. Hayes was born in Blanchard, LA. and was a Vietnam veteran.

Buddy was survived by his loving wife, Faye Hayes of Mena, AR., one daughter, Stacy Hayes of Blanchard, LA. and one granddaughter, Jessica Hayes of Blanchard, LA; four stepchildren, Debra Flournoy of Lufkin, TX., Randy Battenfield of Bloomburg, TX., Renee Shores of Atlanta, TX., and Kevin Battenfield of Mena, AR; one brother George Hayes of Vivian, LA., one sister, Sissy Hayes of Blanchard, LA; six step granddaughters, and seven step grandsons and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Center Hill Cemetery in Linden, Texas with the Reverend Jerry Marshall and Reverend John Murphy officiating with interment to follow.
